If you are using Mac OS X or Windows, you can simply download the respective executable installer (either a .exe or .mpkg file) and follow the instructions on screen.
You can also download the source installation. Extract it in a directory, navigate to it and execute
python setup.py install
You may need administrator privileges (or execute the command as root) for this to work.
